Most importantly, we clarified exactly how New Century would supply mold design, mold manufacturing, and technical support to guarantee the project's success. From 3D Models to Optimized Manufacturing Drawings
Once development commenced, the client provided both 3D and 2D product models. Before any mold making could begin, they required our engineering team to carefully evaluate the 3D model and propose reasonable modification suggestions, ensuring the optimal solution for the new project's launch. Our response was grounded in professional mold technology analysis.
Drawing on that analysis, we delivered numerous optimization recommendations within the DFM and Moldflow reports. These suggestions made it possible to refine and optimize the 3D product model, ultimately yielding final optimized drawings that were released directly into injection molding mold fabrication. Rather than simply building to the drawing, we improved the drawing — reducing downstream risk and cost.
Verification at FOT Trial Production
During FOT (First Off Tool) trial production, we produced sample plastic parts and then performed 3D scanning and error color image analysis to verify every shape and dimension against the nominal model. The resulting 3D scan quality report gave our client's team and the Mercedes-Benz quality department complete visibility into part conformance.
