Custom CNC Machined 20CrMnTi Carburized Gear Blank with Turning Hobbing for Automotive Transmission

Gear blanks are turned, bored and hobbed from 20CrMnTi alloy steel on CNC lathes and hobbing machines, holding DIN 7 tooth accuracy with 0.15–0.30 mm grinding stock on the flanks. Carburizing and quenching raises the case to 58–62 HRC while the core stays tough, giving the transmission gear the wear resistance and impact strength it needs after final grinding.
